新ドメインはSEOに有利か？

ドメインSEOとして新ドメインは効果があるか？との問いに関しては「効果は0ではないが、微々たるもの」ではないかと。個人的には、そこまで考慮しなくても良いレベルだと推測しています。

現在運用しているサイトのドメインを変更してまで考慮するほどのSEO効果は無く、新規でサイトを作る際の新規ドメインの候補として検討するくらいで良いのではないでしょうか。

なので、SEO目的よりも、ブランディングとして考慮する方が良いでしょう。

また、 restaurant　など日本人に馴染みの薄い、長いスペルのドメインは覚え辛いので、控えた方が良いかもしれません。

傾向的には、ペンギンアップデートはかなり大きな変化が毎回起きていると感じています。

弊社でも様々な形態でSEOをしているサイトの順位変動を記録し続けていますが、今回もやはり特に影響があったのは、被リンクを購入してSEOをしていたサイトです。

全体的に大きく順位が下がっていました。

それとは逆に、被リンク購入に頼らずSEOをしていたサイトは、被リンクSEOをしていたサイトの順位が下がるのと相対的に、全体的に順位が上がってます。

もしかしたら、ウェブマスターツール宛に「不自然なリンクに対する警告」が届いているかもしれません。

もし、警告が届いている場合には、手動での対応をしない限りペナルティを受け続けて、順位が下がり続けることになってしまうので、以下の対応をしてください。

・今すぐに心当たりのあるリンクを全て解除してください。

・リンクが解除できない場合には、リンクの否認ツールを使ってください。

一度、ドメインがペナルティを受けてしまうと、これらの手動での対応が必要になります。

もし手動での対応が難しい場合には、思い切ってドメインを変更するのも手段のひとつではありますね。
